Chalk Point Marine owner and manager, Donna Schlegel, along with her husband, Alex, have owned the marina since 1990 and it has been their commitment to provide the yachting community with a tranquil and well- maintained facility.

As lifetime boaters, Donna & Alex have visited many ports and marinas up and down both US coasts and a few others around the world.  They feel that West River is an ideal area to set anchor!

Wanting to share their passion for boating and the West River, Donna renovated and opened Chalk Point Marina to sail and power boats. Her attention to detail and personal care ensures that all of her customers fully enjoy a great boating experience!

After an extended period sailing in the islands aboard his CS 36, Xan returned to the Chesapeake Bay to join his father's business, Hartge Yacht Yard, and also assists at Chalk Point Marine to oversee daily operations.
