"Chalk Point Marine is the West River marina of choice for those who put a premium on careful management, peace and quiet, and great views.  After 5 years we wouldn't stay anywhere else on the West River."     C.C.

"This is the most peaceful little river with the most incredible sunsets!  We love docking here at this marina, it's very quiet and well-maintained. Every evening we take our dinghy to Pirates Cove or Thursdays for a drink and dinner and then scuttle back in the dark, really lovely.  A real country locale, just wonderful.     M.B.

"Small but totally quiet place on a narrow peninsula with pretty homes.  Docks are well maintained.  Moorings also available."     Transient Guest

"Chalk Point Marine is tiny, basic, and very pretty.  Two docks, heads and showers, water, electric and storage for dinghy for those on moorings. There are no on-site services but Hartge Yacht Yard will come over to perform basic services."     J.M.

"We've just spent our first year at Chalk Point.  Can't say enough positive things about it.  First, the docks are very well maintained with no wobbly fingers or deteriorating boards.  The pilings are tall enough to handle any storm surges, etc.  Next, it is incredibly well-protected.  We have been at two other marinas on West River over the years and were shocked at how well-protected CPM was relative to the others.  The marina is basic, meaning no pools, clubhouse, etc, but honestly, we have no need of those things.  We have a boat for those purposes!  The telltale is the number of slip holders we've met who have been there 20+ years (many of them).  There is plenty of parking, heads are older but clean and functional, and there are several quality restaurants nearby.  Christopher's Grocery is a mile away for provisioning.  Donna has been great to work with and Xan and Hartge Yacht YARD are there if you need marine services.  Bottom line is a great place to keep your boat."     V.T.
